why is everyone afraid?

I’m noticing a correlation with people being very fearful, being present or past. I think fear is mainly driven by the T.V. and the “news” that they show choose to show us on a daily basis. ” A shoot out on I 75.” student stabs 20 kids, kid brings gun to school I think you get the idea. I think watching the news implements the idea that everyone is out to get us. We only see the bad and not the good thus creating this fear and doing everything we can to live inside a bubble. Why arrive at death’s gate fully intact? The point of life is to enjoy it and create new experiences and see new things. I see people judging cities without even experiencing the city FIRST HAND! People will say oh, that place is horrible. Yeah, I’m sure it’s bad when it’s 3 AM to walk the street but it’s not like people are on top of sky scrapers just waiting and preying on you to drive through the city. If everyone is out to get you then why even bother going to school or driving up the road to grab a bag of groceries? You can die doing that as well. It boggles my mind that people are so fearful to the point that they wont even help another person in need! Everyone isn’t like Ted Bundy. “but you never know they could be” well, if you live life’ with would and could then why live at all? What if it’s you that needs a lift and the driver was like well he might be a cereal killer I wont help them out. I think it’s bizarre the mentality we have today. The fear of life and living is overwhelmed with fabricated lies, and people believe this shit? Hunter S. Thompson was known for telling half truth’s and people ate it up like it was hot cakes from I-Hop. It’s honestly know different today, everything is about “entertainment” and showing violence. Then parents are wondering why kid’s are angry it’s because the parents give their attention to their electronics and not their kids. I see parents telling their kids to go play XBOX instead of going outside to play hide and go seek, or a game. I see parents constantly working or on the laptop finishing up more work. I can’t blame the parents for wanting to work because that is their income, but you can’t neglect other parts of your life. Is there not anything more in the world besides your job? We buy all these things that become outdated the next year and just keeping flushing and re-buying every time a new gadget comes out. Do we even have survival skills anymore? Could you operate without your cell phone or i pad? I think we are in for a huge wake up call in the future. Things are progressively getting worse. Like the life is getting sucked out of us by the elite. The market is still as low as it’s ever been and we continue to just keep printing money without baking it. Something has to give, something has to change. What do you think?

Could not agree more! In the time of your life, live—so that in that wondrous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.

  2. Although in general I agree with what you are saying. However, I do feel you are being a little narrow minded, everyone is not afraid. Sure, the majority I guess but don’t label everyone the same, not fair.
Secondly, I think you are also missing a whole debate issue re kids and the latest gadgets. There is so much peer pressure on kids these days from their school/college friends that they are bullied because their phone is like 2 years old!! Yes the parents do buy the stuff for them but more than likely after being nagged by their kids for so long. Not saying this is right but just a little bigger than blaming parents for buying the stuff because they need to work.
